A commercial dumpster can look noticeably better after cleaning while the enclosure around it still looks the same. The container and the surface below it collect different material. Property managers get cleaner results when they scope each separately.
What dumpster cleaning covers. Our commercial dumpster cleaning focuses on interior walls, bottoms, lids, and exterior grime on the box itself. Municipal and hauler pickups empty contents; they do not scrub the film that holds odor on plastic and metal surfaces.
What pad washing covers. The concrete pad catches spills, leaking bags, wheel grime, and whatever reaches the ground during daily use. Our commercial pressure washing includes dumpster pads, enclosures, loading docks, alleys, and other hard surfaces. Cleaning the dumpster does not remove material from the concrete.
Inspect when the container moves. During hauler pickup when the dumpster shifts, look at the dark outline on concrete, stains on enclosure walls several feet away, and the path employees use to move trash. Those areas may need pad washing even when the box itself looks acceptable.
Food service vs. office sites. Restaurants often need frequent container cleaning and a separate pad schedule based on grease accumulation. Office properties with lighter waste may need pad washing less often but still benefit when grit and dust build on the apron. Neither schedule has to match the other.
Water movement before washing. Pressure washing creates dirty water. We plan around surface type, access, recovery, and operating hours. Residue from dumpster pads should not be pushed toward storm drains — the same principle in professional wastewater handling.
When to pair both services. Reset visits before a new maintenance schedule, after a major spill, or when both box and pad are visibly dirty make sense as combined work. Container cleaning handles the dumpster; pressure washing addresses hard surfaces around the site. See how often commercial dumpsters should be cleaned for cadence guidance.
